Having been born in Sutton I eventually got to an age where questions where being asked about the family tree. With a bit of research I discovered my Mothers side came to Sutton in about 1840 and my Fathers around 1900. While doing the tree I was gathering facts about Sutton over the last 200 years. While this has been great fun it was also quite difficult locating the resources I needed to carry on and I realised there needed to be a place to collate everything and that place was my home. Eventually I needed a way to share my findings with likeminded people hence the production of this website. Once I can figure out the best way to present the different types of information I will publish it on here to share with you and hopefully initiate more investigations into our past. Unfortunately in 2022 I was the victim of a severe road accident, my mobility is badly impaired and I will never work again. Thinking positively this does leave me more time to do the research and work on the site. I can make it out for a chat etc but Sutton library is about my limit without lots of notice.
